CL 48K Student Presentations

Due: Weeks 12-13

Each student will offer a 5-minute presentation (maximum) on her/his literary short form as well as answer questions from the class (5 minutes). This will be a chance to share your research, as well as test your entries and format before your final paper. Total of 10 min.

Your presentation should include the following:

  • A brief introduction to your short form through a question or problem (Why did you choose your particular short form?)

  • A brief discussion of secondary sources (what do others say?)

  • A brief discussion of your contribution (what makes your field guide/anthology unique?)

  • One or two examples

This is a general outline of a presentation. Your presentation can vary from this, but should include these elements. You can speak with notes, extemporaneously, or have a prepared text, or slides. Be sure to practice before you present (this includes using media, if you have it).

If you have questions, SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH INSTRUCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO DISCUSS YOUR PRESENTATION.
